Monte Jostrom started the Greenwood Furnace Co. in the Greenwood area of Seattle in 1921 and quickly built a reputation for providing quality products and services.
In 1995 they moved to Kirkland to expand that high quality of service to the Bellevue, Issaquah, Bothell, Sammamish and the rest of the Eastside. In 1999 Greenwood Heating was sold to Service Experts, a national chain of service companies.
In December of 2004 Greenwood was sold again to Michael Porter, this time going back to it's Puget Sound roots... owned by a local Seattle resident. Michael Porter, a West Seattle resident and a life long Seattle native. He is committed to complete customer satisfaction and has a mission to be 'The Premier Heating and Air Conditioning Company' in the Puget Sound area. Since then Greenwood has grown and is now serving areas as far north as Bellingham and has recently opened a new office in Port Orchard, proudly serving Kitsap County.
