Replace doors and openers.
Experience and Good Comments
Just placed the order on Dec. 6th. The doors are estimated to be ready in 2-3 weeks. So I can only share the price for now. Will update it later after the installation is done.
I quoted 3 service providers: National Door Inc., Distribudoors and Costco. Overall, I think the Distribudoors' offer is best even though the price is not the lowest.
Distribudoors:
Free estimation. email response is faster than NDI.
Prime discount:
They don't have ads on Prime now, but you can still ask for a Microsoft Prime discount
cash/check 5% discount
credit card(visa, master only) 3% discount, but they agree to accept AmEx at last.
Non-insulated door: $465 each
vinyl back insulated door: $535 each
Fully insulated door: $790 each
Remove existing door: $45 each
Liftmaster 8165 ½ HP chain drive opener: $315 each
Liftmaster 8355 ½ HP belt drive opener: $365 each
Liftmaster 8550W ¾ HP belt drive opener: $415 each
Internet Gateway - allows myQ opener to work with computer or smartphone $45
National door inc.:
They only reply email once per day.
The door is from http://www.nwdusa.com/residential/
For credit card, then only accept visa/master.
price detail:
Partial insulated traditional panel door: $399 each
Fully insulated traditional panel door: $649 each
Remove existing door: $65 each
Liftmaster 8165 ½ HP chain drive opener: $369 each
Liftmaster 8355 ½ HP belt drive opener: $449 each
Liftmaster 8550W ¾ HP belt drive opener: $499 each
Motor is $20 off each as I install 2 doors with openers.
The total price of NDI is somehow lower than Distribudoors (about $60). But the opener is more expensive. And as the opener is the same, I would choose the one with better doors, at least I hope the price can reflect the quality.
Costco:
Free estimation
The door with lowest price is over $900 each, so we didn't ask for quote for other things.
Update:
Got the garage doors and opener installed on 12/21. The new doors are super quiet, I could only hear it nearby.

Garage door spring replacement
Experience and Good CommentsBoth of my garage door springs broke and the door would open. Called a few garage door companies and DistribuDoors gave me the best price so I scheduled a second day service with them. Technician Dusty arrived on time and replaced the springs fast, professionally and neat. I replaced 2 springs and 2 B-Plat asseys, and final cost was $290 plus tax. They have life time (parts only) spring and 1 year installation labor warranty. I'm happy with their service and the cost.
