Replace the water heater

Experience and Good Comments

Discuss with Ron over text messages and phone, Ron give a detailed quote.

Next day, Ron came on time. Investigated the old water and explain the problems I met. Then he professionally dispose the old one and install the new one. He gave me basic instructions on operations, and answers several questions about the installation.
He is strict on every detail, and make adjustment according to the environment. He even cleanup the work space.

Not-So-Good Comments

One gas pipe is not brand new. He admitted and confirmed it will last for the heater life time.
The heater self is not expensive, however, the labor is costly.

Replace the expansion tank of water heater.

Experience and Good Comments

My 15 years old gas water heater has overflowing issue from the output of pressure relief valve. I thought it is caused by the pressure relief valve. I found Ron's service and called him. He has patience and is professional. He asked me some questions about the heater and the issue. And then he figured out that it should be caused by the expansion tank. I got quotes for two solutions, having a new water heater or just replacing the expansion tank. The quotes are fair.

We scheduled a time for the service. Ron pinged me before he arrived. He replaced the tank and relevant parts. And finally he also replaced the pressure relief valve for free.

Overall, Ron is professional and has patience to answer your questions.

Water heater replacement

Experience and Good Comments

Found that my old water heater was leaking at the joint between the valve and the pipe coming out of the wall. I requested several quotes, and Ron gave me the best offer, and he was available the next day.

We made the appointment early the next day. He came on time and inspected the leak. After he put on a new valve and did a press test, it was still leaking, so he cut off the pop of the pipe and put on a new cooper one, then he installed the new pipe, valve, expansion tank and the new water tank.

He was very professional and willing to answer your questions, I'm happy with his work.

Not-So-Good Comments

Seems he's busy recently, so he's slow on email sometimes. Better to call him directly.

Water heater expansion tank replacement

Experience and Good Comments

Had our water heater expansion tank explode on us last night, which caused lots of water havoc. Got the water damage mitigated, but still didn't have hot water in the morning of course. After a failed DIY attempt, I gave up and sought professional help. I called a few places, and all of them were either booked for weeks or otherwise unhelpful. I'm glad they were, because I called Ron and had him out in an hour. Turns out the prior homeowners didn't install the thing correctly in the first place and not only did Ron fix us up with a new tank installation, but he did it correctly with high quality craftsmanship and parts, and fixed a few other things with the heater itself while he was at it. Super professional and I will absolutely keep him on speed dial for the future.
