Remove a leaning tree which is 16 to 20 feet

Experience and Good Comments

I have a tree (phonia shrub) in the backyard. It was damaged by the wind and rain. The root was damaged partially. The tree has a lot of branches.
I hired one certified arborist to evaluate the situation of the tree. He said we have to remove the tree. No permit is needed as this is a shrub. They asked for $1400 to remove it.
I bid two tree service providers. One is $500 and the other is $575. I called Hitman and we finished the bid by uploading some pictures. The bid is $405 plus tax.
They came on time. Mike (the owner) climbed up the tree to cut down the branches. They are pretty decent in cleaning up the cut down branches. Even if the branch falls into the backyard of our neighborhood, they use the rope to get it out.
They also use rope to make sure the big branch will fall in the right place.
They do not do the root grinding. They cut the root as lower as possible.
They finished the job in 100 minutes.
The most amazing thing is they cleaned up the leaves left on the way as well. It is pretty clean after they finished everything.

Not-So-Good Comments

Not for this one. However, please pay attention they will not be responsible for asking the tree removal permit for you. You need to take care yourself. For this one, it is OK as I already got the information from another arborist

Services Provided

Remove one cedar, one douglas fir, and trim three other trees.

Experience and Good Comments

Their service is excellent and the price is competitive. Mike is very professional and he overlooked everything to ensure it was completed in high quality. We have two small maples under the big trees and they were protected well during the whole process. Love it!!!

Removed a big fir tree grow out of the patio.

Experience and Good Comments

Mike and his crew are amazing!!! This is the first time I use their service and I'm super satisfied with their work. I have a deck built around a big fir tree and all my other bid are based on a full day of work to zip down all branches/trunk (in order to protect the deck). Some of the tree companies are even reluctant to take the work because of the challenge. Mike and his crew came onsite without talking about any difficulties and got the work done only in few hours (thus charge a lot less then others). They not only zip down all branches/carry down trunks, but also cleaned my yard (deck, drive way, roof, debris fallen on nearby trees) and even my neighbors yard. The work was done clean and professionally. I was surprised by their expertise and highly recommend anyone to give them a try! I would definitely use them again in the future.

Tree Removal

Experience and Good Comments

Hitman Tree helped us to remove a big tree which was too close to the property and might damage the foundation. I had collected 3 bids from different tree service companies before deciding to work with them.

1. Reasonable Price: You can get 3 bids first before calling Hitman. As stated at their website, they will afford 25% off from the lowest bid.

2. Superior Services: When Eastside Tree (forgot about the exact name) did on-site estimation, the owner told me that their works had to stand on the roof to cut the branches growing over the house since the tree had no center trunk. But Mike and his coworkers from Hitman Tree even never touched the roof during the entire process.

3. Professionalism: Cleaned up roof, front and back yard nicely.

Normally they are busy during spring and summer. It may take a bit to schedule.

It is fun to watch how they work at least to me. :)
