Replace a broken torsion spring
Experience and Good CommentsThe torsion spring got broken on Friday afternoon after working for 26 years without problem. It was not a big problem since the main impact was that I couldn't park my car in one of the garages. So I sent emails to both companies for quote on Friday night. The next morning I got phone call from Dan who asked a few questions and then I sent him a picture. He gave me the quote on the phone and we made an appointment around 11:30. He arrived around 12:30 but he called around 11:45 and made apology. He came and asked me to feel free to watch it. I asked a few questions and he shared his knowledge. He worked very efficiently and fast. It was done in half hour. I asked him if he can replace the other torsion spring since it was original. He asked for $100 ($40 for material $60 for labor)for that and I agreed. It was another half hour. Again it was done fast and efficiently. Dan is the owner and he has been working in this industry for 30 years. I guess that he is really good at what he is doing.
Not-So-Good CommentsConsidering it is half hour job per spring(others might take longer) it is a little bit expensive
