Repaired (almost rebuilt) the rotten deck, painted for 3 coats
Experience and Good Comments
My deck is about 10x10, not including stairs. After 17 years, it became rotten and unsafe for kid to play around it. I quoted a few service providers, minimum is 2000+ to rebuild with wood material. If go with composite material, the price will be double at least.
I got Allen's contact from a colleague in the chatting group. Allen's daily work is to build customized furniture, so there is no problem for him to do a wood deck. His rate per Aug, 2017 is $25 hour, and power wash is a separated work item costing $100 alone. After power washing, we did the inspection together and found most wood piece must be replaced. The total price I put in this review only covers the labor cost. The material is about $200, paint is extra.
Here is the summary I sent to Allen after completion.
