Replacing 22 picture window glasses (IGU).
Experience and Good Comments
Our house is a style with a lot of picture windows (also called IGU - insulated glass unit). The glass we used to have were not double pane insulated. We wanted to replace with ones which would meet energy saving criteria.
Got several quotes and WESCO's was better than the rest. We were satisfied with the service provided. They have 2 people came on time and worked on it for about 2+ days. The sales rep was really responsible. He came by several times during the project to ensure that the work done meet our expectation. We had chance to talk to him on minor issues we saw when work in progress. At the end he came by to walk through all the jobs with us on site, marked any leftover work to be finished. The windows look awesome. We therefore refer WESCO to two of our friends for windows and door service. They both were pleased with their job.
Later on we used the same company to replace the water heater. It involves gas pipe line extension. It was done professionally. We were again very pleased.
Not about windows project. Instead the water heater sales rep was a little short temperament. Considering overall experience we decided it was an individual case.

Experience and Good CommentsI got mixed reviews from my friends and coworkers before I called WES but still decided to give them a try considering some positive feedback and also they still have 4 stars on yelp. I wanted to get quotes on replacing 17 windows and also improving insulation in attic and crawlspace. A salesman came over and gave me quotes on 3 difference choices of windows (Anderson 100, Signature Series and Classic Series) and also on attic insulation. The salesman was easy to talk to but didn't meet my expectation.
Not-So-Good CommentsThe quotes were overpriced compared to other quotes I got. The salesman failed to point out that one window needed to tempered due to safety reason. He didn't really get into attic and also seemed not interested in crawlspace so he didn't go down there and didn't give a quote. $4000 (after 20% off) for an attic insulation project. Seriously?
